"Everyone has been given a gift..."

I quote these words from the inspiring film of the nativity story of Jesus Christ.

-John 3:16
"For God so loved the world He gave His only begotten son..."

Everyone has been given a gift... A gift from God. And His gift is Far greater than any earthly gift.
"...that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."
The gift that has been given that everyone has been given is Jesus. This Christmas don't forget the true meaning of Christmas. Sure the presents are great and fellowship too; but don't be to absorbed in the world so much that He is left out of the picture.
Merry Christmas.
P.S. Watch "The Nativity Story". It'll change your perspective a whole bunch.

Procrastination???

Instead of looking at procrastination as procrastination, I look at it as more of a heroic accompishment.

Have you ever noticed how super heros always show up at the exactly the right moment? Well the really smart ones go for the whole 9 yards and one more. See instead of showing up just before the criminals flee the seen, they show up a day later to say that super heros have busy schedules and criminals should work around them in a very sincere way. That way the criminals work around super hero's lives; therefore making crime an easier thing to deal with. And by making it an easier thing to deal with, there is less of it.

Thats why I'm starting an essay that was due on wednesday afternoon on thursday night just before break. So teachers can realize that they give WAY too much homework and then work around the busy schedule of the students they are teaching.

New Song ;)

Heart Cry

As the stars come out
Your glory fills the skies
As the ocean roars
You are feared

You are God
And we will praise
You are holy
You are righteous

When I’m lost without a guide
You lead me to the truth
And there I find my peace
In You, in You

When the stars come out, You are beautiful
When the mountains quake, Your glory roars
When the skies rain Your love
The people, forever cry

You are beautiful
Beautiful
Beautiful
Oh Lord

You are God
And You will reign
You are holy
And You alone will own me

"Cyber High-Fives"

I was recently conversing with one of my friends on this marvelous internet concotion called "Myspace". And the way we were doing such was rather amusing yet at the same time, rather deep and intelligent, you might say. Now, you might be thinking: whats your point doo-doo head? Well the point I'm getting at is that it was really, quite funny, and without that conversation ever occuring, this blog is concerning "cyber high-fives" may never have came to be.

So whats the deal anyway with these so called "cyber high-fives" anyway?
  • How do you give them?
  • When do you give them?
  • Why do you give them rather than just saying, "Your'e rad!"?

The fact of the matter is: people just love physical contact. Whether it's legit or not. This realization came to me as I tried so aggressivly to "cyber high-five" my radical friend, Chloe.

But the answers to the above questions are:

  • You simply say: "Cyber high-five!"
  • You give them whenever the moment seems to fit
  • You give them rather than saying, "Your'e rad!" because you want to make the other person feel somewhat good about themselves by giving them the impression than you want to actually high-five them

And so there you have it. My splurge of the moment. Thanks Chloe!

Hola Cinco.

Experiment N.1436

Man oh Man...
I have recently been subject to many tests and diagnoses that seem simply, stupid. I've had wires strung up and down my body, foot long tubes entering my nose, and numbing spray shot up into my sinuses. So far we have discovered that I have a vocal node. So I am not allowed to sing for at least a month... no bueno.

Refiners Fire

Woah... the Lord spoke to me tonight. It's going to be different now. I was being stupid. The Lord slapped me around tonight. It started out with having read of fearing the Lord in "The Unquenchable Worshipper". So I Started reading Revalations. And my heart skipped a beat. He spoke so profoundly and so directly to me that they pierced my heart and litteraly made me fear for my life. He is turning me around. I'm going to change. I'm going through the Refining Fire.

Faith in God

Why is it, people, that we lack faith in Christ? Have we not been reminded in The Word of God that His Word is true and holy? Then again I ask: Why do we not trust whole heartedly? Not saying that I have already obtained this perfect faith; but I strive towards having it; but I am saying that we must all press on towards that goal. The goal of knowing Christ so well that we lay everything at his feet without a second thought.

In the beginning God gave man power over all creation. Continually in the Word we are reminded of His faithfulness. Did He not command Noah to put all of the animals of the earth into the ark? This shows again that He gives us control over all the creatures of the earth. Also, how many people do you know that have one or more pets. do you know how many zoos people run?

So know I ask you: Why have you not trusted God in all things? You have heard the truth. Philipians 4:6-7 says "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

Just For Thought

Why is it that people label Christ as the God of oxymorons? They say: is He not the god of love and peace? Then why is it that he unleashes his wrath among the people? Isn't He supposed to be one that we can trust and be friends with?

And the answer for that, my friends, is because God is a just god. And if he did not keep to his standard as a righteous god, then why would any one follow Him? What would you think of a Judge that was to sentence your brothers murderer, and He let him free on account that he was a good friend of his. And despite the fact that all the evidence was pointing against him, he gets off scott free! What do you think of that? It is the same thing with God. Yet He does not let things slide so easily. The price for us was great:

  • "God sent His only begotten son so that whoever believes in him, should have everlasting life"-John 3:16
  • "And while we were yet sinners, Christ Died for us"-Romans 5:8

Constantly throught the Bible it tells of Gods love and of his mercy and grace. And since Christ died in our place on the cross, all we must do to recieve His love and everlasting life is to just ask the Lord to remove our sins, to confess with our mouth that He is God and ask forgiveness for our mistakes (1 Corinthians).

But as for those people that felt Gods wrath and perished under it, it was their fault. They had been told more than a number of times to repent and return to God. And since they had turned their backs on him they became His enemy. Again I say to you: They had been told more than a number of times to repent and turn towards God.

And so I beg of you: please do not make the same mistakes they did. Do not wander away down a path of destruction. Remember that God loves you. Realize you have done wrong (For all have fallen short of the Glory of God. Recognize that Christ died and rose again for your salvation.(2 cor5:21). Repent and follow him (acts3:19). And recieve Christ

Amazing Love

It is by God's love that he has given me a brand spaken new guitar! I walked into the store with 700 dollars, I walked out with $10.50. And of course I am going to glorify God with it. He gave it to me. So honestly, if you ask if you can play it: NO WAY JOSE(or Josie if you're a girl)!!!

Words of Wisdom

As human beings, there are certain duties, I think, that we must accomplish before the age of thirty to avoid a mid-life crisis. One of which is to invent a word. I, having been blessed with such a brilliant mind, have decided to take the liberty of completeing this mind boggling task just a little early. And this, my friends, is the story of how I, Aaron, accomplished this task:

I was driving in the early afternoon to meet with Jesus at my church. And having a desire, such as mine, to always be completing a goal, I pondered what task I may overcome next. And then it slapped me across the face like a proverb: I was to invent a word! And so I pondered... and this is what came to me:

  1. Zymotroptalise:(v.) 1. to be filled with a surge of joy so great one must jump a sequence of times to express it.

And so there you have it. My adventure of inventing a word. I will hopefully later post a video of me sending it to Webster's to try and get it published.

And so I bid ye adue.

Splurge of the Moment

As I was, as usual on the internet, on myspace staring blankly into the many, many pixels and miniscule colors to find something of amusment, I stumbled across a thought: I know of a man who is somewhat of an amusing person and this man has a blog! And as I had this sudden realization as I was scrolling down Chris Lazo's blog, "Sentiments", I had a sudden realization: This whole blog ordeal seems to be rather entertaining to the viewer and to the producer... maybe this could be the thing that can save me from my severe case of internet boredom! And so here I am now, doing my best to use proper punctuation, spelling, and italcizing (in case you haven't noticed I'm rather fond of it). So hopefully I will be able to bring you a sense of not feeling such a desire to raid the fridge or your neighbors, but one of being entertained because of my somewhat meaningless ramblings (but be warned: some may become of use to you).

I hope to bring you some satisfaction through all these fancy words (hopefully I may learn some. I have gotten words such as: thee, hither, therefore, etc.. on lock) that I may not completely know the meaning to them. But (notice the italics) do not expect me to always be entertaining. I am going to speak what is on my mind, and some of it may not be very pleasing to hear (but I absolutly will not under any circumstance (more italics), try and poke fun, put down, pick fights, or any other two words that which the first starts with a "p"), notice the title of this blog: Splurge of the Moment (italics again). These words posted are only meant to encourage, inspire, and bring laughter, not anything negative.

Anything serious that I will be posting will first be approved by God. Not only because I do not want to speak my heart but His, but because it is by His power that I even have a computer. Therefore (notice the word), it is going to glorify Him.

So there you have it. My splurge of the moment... ooh thats a cool title... baha! That was cool.
PEACE!!!
